Problematic

The city of Quito has 246 routes that are covered by 3,037 buses. Some have a fixed schedule that we know that a certain bus passes at that time, but on other routes the bus schedule is uncertain. This causes people to wait at bus stops with the uncertainty of knowing if the bus they have to take has already left or is about to arrive. In general, the buses pass very often, but there are times that they take too long and this could cause delays or unpunctuality in Quito.

Objects

• Get to have all the bus routes to provide information on the routes.
• Provide the exact information of the location of the buses to the users who need them.
• Provide the take me service so that the user knows which bus to take to get to any address.
• Guarantee the satisfaction of the users who are using the application

Solution

With the application we will be able to know the estimated time that the bus will take to arrive at the station and the user will be able to make decisions based on the information provided by the application. This will help people organize their time more and be able to move around Quito in a better way without having to wait long minutes at stations without knowing if the bus will arrive soon or not. The information will be obtained from GPS devices. Users will be able to download the application for free and the monetization, in order to maintain the application, will be through advertising within it.
